No experience needed. No bike? We’ll have a few available to borrow.
Practice makes progress.
Consistent practice increases your skill and grows your confidence.
And we make the process fun.
We practice as a team twice a week from the beginning of July until the last race at the end of October. Practices are usually held at Brown County State Park. Occasional practices may occur at other locations from time to time to expose our riders to new trail systems with varied terrain and obstacles.
Feeling interested but not quite ready to commit? Come join us for a practice session and see what you’ve been missing out on. We promise you won’t be disappointed. You might just be convinced to join our team.
Ready. Set. Race.
You will never forget the feeling of your first race!
From that day on: you are a mountain bike racer.
We compete against other Indiana NICA League teams at four race events in the fall. Racing is optional but highly recommended. It is the reward for the hard work done through practice and training.
Races are weekend events that combine riding, racing, and team community. Saturday afternoons are all about pre-rides and fun activities, while Sunday features races and awards. Riders compete in heats based on age, experience, and gender. Race durations vary from ~30 minutes for newer riders to ~1 hour for more advanced athletes. Race weekends are the highlight of the NICA season, a chance to explore new trails, build friendships, and cheer our student-athletes. Many families choose to camp overnight, making it a full weekend experience.
